Access by Air

Jacksonville International Airport (JIA) supports travel to and from Northeast Florida with non-stop flights to more than 30 cities. Many regional air carriers have added service out of Jacksonville, expanding flight service to popular cities in the United States. Carriers servicing Jacksonville include Southwest, American, US Airways, Delta, Continental, Northwest, Frontier, United Airlines and ExpressJet, among others.

Rental car service, taxi cabs, shuttles and other transportation options take you to your final destination with ease. Downtown Jacksonville is only 15 minutes from the airport. AirJTA offers transportation from downtown to JIA and back. With stops near airport hotels and restaurants, and convenient curbside drop-off at the JIA terminal, AirJTA is perfect for business travelers catching flights through JIA. Transportation around Jacksonville, the largest city by land mass in the contiguous United States, is easy to navigate with four major U.S. highways, U.S. 1, U.S. 17, U.S. 90 and U.S. 301. Highway 9A and Highway 295 circle to city, making travel from the beaches inland even easier. Getting Around Town

Downtown Jacksonville offers many unique, affordable options to get from point A to point B and back again. Three historic trolleys serve downtown, providing free transportation around the Downtown area, including transportation to the Sports Complex. A 2.5 mile skyway is an automated transit system operating on an elevated track with ten two-car trains to the North- and Southbanks of Downtown throughout the week and during special events. The S.S. Marine Taxi provides transportation across the St. Johns River in the heart of downtown. The water taxi also offers breathtaking views of the Jacksonville skyline.
