As always, this venue is about you, about fostering local talent, displaying it, building a community around it. Come listen or come read or do both, but come!

At the end of our open-mic session this month, Alan Justiss will read to us. Folio Weekly will have someone out at this month’s deadpaper reading to do a story on Justiss’s 15-year anniversary of reading at Chamblin’s.

Be a part of it. Make it what you need it to be. Bring a poem, bring a story, bring a song, bring a didgeridoo, bring a poem you found in the graffiti around the corner, bring yourself.

And send us submissions for the Fall 2008 issue of deadpaper.org.
